Privacy Policy

The short version

We do not run advertising trackers on this site. We do not sell personal information. The only information we hold is what you actively type into a form or give us when you place an order.

What we collect

Contact enquiries

If you contact us through the site we receive your name, email address, phone number and whatever you write in the message. We use it to reply to you and nothing else.

Orders

This website does not take orders or payments. Orders are placed by phone or at the counter, and payment is handled in the shop by Square, our point-of-sale provider.

We never see, receive or store your card number. No card details are ever entered on this website.

When online ordering launches here, this section will be updated before it goes live.

Your browser

Like any web server, ours records standard request information, IP address, the page requested, and the browser used, in short-lived operational logs. This is used to keep the site working and to stop abuse of the ordering endpoints. It is not used to build a profile of you.

If you build an order, the contents of your basket are stored in your own browser’s local storage so it survives a page refresh. That data stays on your device and is never sent to us until you submit the order. Clearing your browser data removes it.

Cookies

This site sets no advertising or analytics cookies, so there is no consent banner to click. The embedded Google map on our location pages is loaded from Google and may set its own cookies when it loads; if you would rather it did not, use the “Get directions” links instead, which do not load anything until you click them.

Who else is involved

• Square, processes online orders and payments.
• Our hosting provider, serves this website and keeps short-term server logs.
• Google Maps, provides the map embed on our location pages.

We do not sell or rent personal information to anyone, and we do not share it except as needed to fulfil your order or where the law requires it.

How long we keep things

Enquiries are kept as long as needed to answer them and any follow-up, then deleted. Order records are retained by Square in line with their policy and our accounting obligations. Server logs are short-lived.

Your rights

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email info@austinstreetpizza.com or call (347) 809-4195 and we will deal with it.

If you are a New York resident, the New York SHIELD Act requires us to protect private information with reasonable safeguards. Order and payment data is held by Square under their PCI-compliant infrastructure rather than by us, which is the principal safeguard here.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of this page. Material changes to how we handle orders will be flagged on the site.
